Postlude

download: Postlude.mp3
Postlude (1998) for two Pianos and Tape, was composed for an Italian pianist who sent out a request for works via the Internet. I don't think it has ever been performed. The tape part is made from processed recordings of an old, out-of-tune Piano that seemed abandoned in the student Bar of Cat Hill campus, Middlesex University. I wonder if it is still there?

This recording is a fragment from the tape part in which a glissando on the piano strings can be heard clearly. The rest is heavily processed using the (now deprecated) Phymod (physical modelling software).
